Summary
A cross-sectional study of 243 Ordinary Level students from two Colombo schools, assessing their knowledge, attitudes, and practices around drinking-water bottle safety. Only 23.7% of students had satisfactory knowledge of resin types and their safety, and 85% carried plastic bottles daily, with no significant link found between knowing which bottles are safer and actually using them - pointing to a gap between awareness and everyday practice.
